Dumbo penthouse closes for $16.25M, new record for Brooklyn sponsor condo

A full-floor penthouse at Dumbo’s tallest tower officially closed this week, setting a new record for the borough. Penthouse B at Olympia, a 33-story condo at 30 Front Street, sold for $16.25 million, becoming the highest price-per-square-foot ($3,297) deal ever for a Brooklyn sponsor condo. The home might look familiar; the condo was featured in Spike Lee’s 2025 movie “Highest 2 Lowest” as Denzel Washington’s fictional apartment.

The penthouse takes up the entire 32nd floor of the building and offers 5,000 square feet and stunning views of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. Designed by Interior Marketing Group, the apartment has five bedrooms, a separate office, four-and-a-half baths, and a 552-square-foot terrace overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge.

Penthouse B originally hit the market for $19,500,000 in 2022 and later dropped to $17,500,000, as CityRealty noted. The final sales price reflects a drop of just over 7 percent.

According to a spokesperson for Olympia, the deal is the highest price-per-square-foot for a sponsor condo in Brooklyn and is the third most expensive condo sale ever in the borough. The New York Post first reported the sale.

That sponsor condo record could be beaten by a penthouse at One Domino Square, if it closes for $7 million earlier this month, or $3,313 per square foot, after entering contract earlier this month.

Price-per-square-foot leaders in the borough, including resales, include a condo at 1 Main Street that sold for $15,273,750 ($4,772 ppsf) in 2018 and a unit at Pierhouse that fetched $11,920,000 ($3,540 ppsf).

The priciest condo in Brooklyn remains a penthouse at Quay Tower in Brooklyn Heights that sold for $20.3 million in 2020.

As The Real Deal reported, the other penthouse at Olympia, on the 33rd floor, entered contract for $17.5 million in 2023, but the unit returned to the market last year for $15 million before being taken off the market.
