WNBC New York Names Jennifer Hancox Director Of Creative Services
The promotion veteran joins NBC’s flagship television station after over 20 years with WCBS, WNYW and WWOR.
NBC O&O WNBC New York today appointed award-winning promotion professional Jennifer Hancox as the station’s director of creative services starting today. In her new role, she will lead and manage WNBC’s Creative Services team, overseeing the day-to-day multi-platform functions and creative execution for the department. She will also closely collaborate with sister station Telemundo 47 (WNJU), as well as with NBCUniversal Local, NBC network and NBC syndicators.

Prior to joining WNBC, Hancox worked for more than 16 years at WCBS New York, most recently as director, multi-platform promotion – creative services. In this role, Hancox led the station’s creative team and the development of news promos and graphics. She also created and led station image campaigns, working closely with the station’s executive leadership, on-air talent, network partners and community stakeholders.
Prior to joining WCBS in 2008, Hancox held production roles with New York’s WNYW and WWOR.
Hancox has been honored by PROMAX, MUSE Creative, the New York State Broadcasters Association and the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for her professional accomplishments.
She earned an associate’s degree in broadcast communications and journalism from Bergen Community College, and a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications from William Paterson University.
