Erin Tobin is the Executive Director of Adirondack Architectural Heritage (AARCH), a private, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the architecture and communities of the Adirondacks through education, action, and advocacy. She is an expert in the preservation community and has held the position as Vice President for Policy and Preservation at the Preservation League of New York State.
At AARCH, Tobin advances the organization’s strategic goals as chief operating, development, and finance officer, as well as its primary spokesperson. She serves as the primary contact for special projects and preservation advocacy efforts, while overseeing the organization’s robust preservation services and educational programs.
While working at the Preservation League, she had directed public policy and technical service programs across New York State’s 62 counties, leading a statewide preservation policy agenda and advocated for effective preservation policies at local, state and national levels. Tobin holds a B.A. degree cum laude in Architectural History from Binghamton University and a M.S. degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania.
