Elon Musk ‘curious to meet’ billionaire Alex Soros

Elon Musk wants to sit down with Democrat megadonor Alex Soros in order to “understand his goals” — despite having likened his father George Soros to a comic book villain.

The Tesla boss, who has become a key member of President-elect Donald Trump’s inner circle, said he’s “curious to meet” with Alex Soros — whose Open Society Foundations has funded progressives around the country.

Soros, 39, had posted a message on Musk’s social media platform X in response to a left-wing journalist who wrote in The Nation that Trump can’t claim to have a “powerful mandate” to rule given that he did not win a majority of votes cast for president.

“It is not a powerful mandate…,” Soros claimed Tuesday, adding: “This was a close election. Not a surprise!”

Musk replied to Soros: “I would be curious to meet and understand your goals better.”

Soros wrote back: “I often learn most from people whose views are different than my own. Open to meeting.”

In fact, Trump actually leads in the popular vote by more than 2 million over Kamala Harris — 76,687,368 to 74,114,298, with several million ballots still to be counted — as well as easily winning the Electoral College in the Nov. 5 election.

The apparent détente between the moguls comes after Soros just a day earlier blasted Trump’s plan to name Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as the next Secretary of Health and Human Services, writing on X: “They are playing with fire! Americans will be screwed if there is another pandemic!”

Musk, a supporter of RFK Jr., wrote back “*scamdemic.”

The Post has sought comment from Musk and Alex Soros.

Soros wrote on X that he would be “open to meeting” Musk, who said he was “curious to meet and understand your goals better.”

Musk has been a frequent critic of Soros’ dad, the Hungarian-born financier who made his fortune by betting against the British pound during the infamous “Black Wednesday” sterling crisis of 1992.

In May of last year, Musk compared George Soros to Magneto, an X-Men mutant who wants to dominate humans.

Musk accused George Soros of “hating humanity” while attempting to “erode the very fabric of civilization.”

Alex Soros took over control of his father’s philanthropic organization in 2022.

During an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Musk slammed George Soros’ funding for left-wing district attorneys whose policies have been blamed for surging crime in large cities.

Musk supporters on X urged the Tesla mogul to shun Alex Soros. One X user wrote: “Musk and Magneto Jr. meeting soon?”

Another X user urged Musk: ““Don’t meet with the devil!”

“George would be a bridge too far. It wouldn’t be advisable to cut off a potential ally for the sins of his father,” another X user wrote.

“That said, the fruit do not often stray from the shade of that tree without being carried.”

Other X users applauded Musk, with one writing: “Very noble of you, Elon.”
