The highest condo on Fifth Avenue has found a buyer. As first spotted by CityRealty, Penthouse 80 at 520 Fifth Avenue sits 880 feet in the air, surrounded by iconic views in every direction. The trophy residence first hit the market two months ago for $11,500,000; the deal will likely close by the end of the year when the building wraps up construction.

Designed by Charles & Co., the full-floor penthouse measures a little over 2,500 square feet and includes two bedrooms and two and a half baths. The home boasts nearly 13-foot ceilings, 7-inch-wide plank white oak floors, and direct elevator entry.
From the sun-drenched corner great room, iconic views of New York City are on full display. On the other end of the penthouse, the triple-exposure primary bedroom suite faces the Hudson River.

A custom eat-in chef’s kitchen features honed Tak Mahal quartzite countertops, a reeded walnut island, and bespoke white lacquer and walnut cabinetry, according to the listing.
Developed by Rabina and designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), 520 Fifth Avenue topped out at 88 stories in October, making it the tallest condo tower on the historic thoroughfare and the second tallest structure after the Empire State Building.
Located on the corner of 43rd Street and Fifth Avenue, 520 Fifth Avenue features a series of tiered setbacks with signature glazed terracotta arches framing 10-foot by 10-foot glass apertures. The tower has a slenderness ratio of 1:12, making it one of the skinniest buildings in the city, according to CityRealty.
The skyscraper features boutique office floors on the lower levels with the building’s 100 condos starting on the 42nd floor.
Sales launched last April, with prices for the one- to four-bedroom units starting at $1.7 million.
Penthouse 80 is the fifth of seven penthouses at 520 Fifth Avenue to be sold, with one currently on the market for $11.75 million. The latest signed contract brings the building to over 85 percent sold.

The only space at the tower taller than Penthouse 80 is the amenity suite, which includes a solarium, lounge, dining room, library, and game room on the 88th floor. There’s also a members-only hospital club called Moss two floors above the lobby and retail space.
