The restoration focuses on the years of the Sloat Family residency, 1848-1908.

The FOHH produces year-round events at the house and on the great lawn. This includes our two annual music festivals, The Grateful Dead Tribute Concert and The Highlands Bluegrass Festival, voted The Best Place to Hear Bluegrass Music by Hudson Valley Magazine.

Some events have included environmental issues, arts, music, historic architecture and interior design, local artists, the history of the Lenni Lenape nation, and Barebones Shakespeare readings on Sunday afternoons.

The Harmony Hall preservation and restoration project has been featured in the press, radio, and television, including the recent podcast Crossroads of Rockland History, produced by the Rockland County Historical Society. It featured Sloat descendant Peter Bush, a founding member of the FOHH and preservation advocate. You can listen to that podcast here.
