The latest episode of the Troy Story podcast features Kathy Sheehan, Executive Director of the Hart Cluett Museum in historic downtown Troy, who shares the story behind “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” and the poem’s two-century connection to the Collar City.
First published in The Troy Sentinel on December 23, 1823, the poem helped shape our conceptions of Santa Claus and many familiar Christmas traditions.
