Thank You For Keeping the New York Almanack Alive!

Readers, writers, and supporters – thanks so much for the contributions to New York Almanack for 2025. Without your help we couldn’t publish – it’s as simple as that.
Here in the Adirondacks winter arrived very suddenly. There’s ice on the lake. We got the firewood in just in time and worked with friends in the sugar bush to get mostly ready for this spring’s maple sugar making. It was a busy year around the cabin and now I’m just trying to keep up and catch up.
I’ve been getting ready for the Albany Film Festival‘s short film contest showing March 28, 2026 at the University at Albany. If you like film – it’s free – join me for a great day of short films amid the rest of the lively film festival fare. Submit your film, or just learn more at the Festival’s Film Freeway webpage.
Thanks again for all your support of the Almanack. I’m so glad you find it worthwhile. Your contributions, large and small, are very much appreciated.
If you haven’t had an opportunity to give yet for 2025, we still have a several hundred dollars left to raise – please make a contribution here.
