A passenger on a United Airlines flight en route to Los Angeles from Austin wasn’t happy with his airchair in flight and took matters into his own hands by repeatedly kicking the seat before being restrained.
The Nov. 16 meltdown was captured by fellow passenger Gino Galofaro, who helped corral the unidentified passenger just under an hour from touchdown at LAX.
“I restrained him and two other passengers were already getting zip ties so we zip tied his hands and feet and seat belted him to the seat,” said Galofaro.
A spokesperson for United said the unruly customer was met by police at LAX and added that they subsequently “banned this customer from future United flights.”
