🏆 Commercial: Midtown logged the top commercial sale recorded in the city. LNR Partners offloaded the Scribner Building at 597 Fifth Avenue for $54 million. The buyer was an LLC tied to Robert Cayre. Special servicer LNR took over the property amid a foreclosure case that also involved 3 East 48th Street, which was also recently sold. The properties were previously owned by Thor Equities.
🏆 Residential: Actors Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz had the top home sale to hit records, as the couple parted with a four-story townhouse at 22 Strong Place in Cobble Hill for $11.8 million. The buyer was Story St LLC. Craig and Weisz purchased the 6,600-square-foot, landmarked property in 2017 for $6.8 million.
📊 Commercial: An apartment complex at 73 Starr Street in Bushwick, built about a decade ago, traded for $13.1 million. The seller was an LLC tied to Laza Waldman, who is president of ManageGO, and the buyer was an entity linked to Parkview Properties of Great Neck, New York. The property stands five stories tall and has 24 units.
📊 Residential: Araminta Mellon, a fashion editor who is the daughter of Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon, scooped up a 2,600-square-foot condo at 74 Grand Street in Soho for $6.2 million. The residence was a sponsor unit in the property, which was developed by Churchill Real Estate. The sale works out to about $950 per square foot.
📊 Residential: Qinghan Wang purchased a sponsor unit at 520 Fifth Avenue in Midtown for $5.1 million, the unit’s asking price.
