Adam Modlin’s Modlin Group Partners With Knight Frank

Knight Frank is making a comeback in New York.
The London-based real estate consultancy is teaming up with the Modlin Group, one of the city’s top-producing brokerages with an outpost in the Hamptons, the two companies announced on Tuesday. The exclusive alliance comes about a year after Knight Frank ended its 15-year partnership with Douglas Elliman.
Modlin’s nearly 30-year-old firm will remain independent, though the venture will allow Modlin to tap into Knight Frank’s global network, which includes 600 offices in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. Modlin’s clients will also have access to Knight Frank’s Private Office division, which is focused on advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals on their real estate portfolios.
“Our clients have become increasingly global,” Modlin said in a statement. “This partnership comes at the right moment, allowing us to support our clients not only in New York and the Hamptons, but wherever their lives, investments, and ambitions take them.”
Modlin said he was introduced to Knight Frank leaders through mutual clients and that the two firms have “a lot of relationships in common” and “a lot of alignment” in their visions for their companies.
Rupert Dawes, Knight Frank’s global head of residential, said the new partnership is part of its expansion to key markets in the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean. Earlier this year, the firm planted its flag in Los Angeles through a partnership with another boutique brokerage, Carlwood Estates in Beverly Hills.
The Modlin Group ranked among the top 10 brokerages in the city, with more than $150 million across 66 sell-side deals, according to The Real Deal’s analysis of 2025 transactions.
The firm’s latest notable deals include the $57 million sale of reality TV star Julia Haart’s penthouse at 70 Vestry Street and a $72 million deal for an oceanfront estate in East Hampton, a listing it shared with Hedgerow Exclusive Properties and Compass’ Terry Cohen.
The news comes as other small firms in the city have made international moves, including townhouse specialist Leslie J. Garfield. In September, the firm announced its own partnership with London-based brokerage Russell Simpson. Seven months later, Platinum Properties joined the Forbes Global Property Network and rebranded as Platinum Forbes Global Properties.
