Former Brooklyn Net Ben Simmons Relists Olympia Dumbo Pad

One-time NBA superstar — and offshore fishing league owner — Ben Simmons is lowering the asking price to bait a buyer for his pad at Brooklyn’s Olympia Dumbo.

The former Brooklyn Nets guard relisted his unit at 30 Front Street for $15 million, Realtor.com reported. The asking price is a reduction from the $17 million he sought at Fortis Property Group’s trophy development when he listed the condominium more than a year ago.

Simmons purchased his five-bedroom duplex on the 21st floor of Olympia Dumbo for approximately $14 million in 2023, while the property was still in development. It was an investment in his future in Brooklyn, which carried a whiff of potential after an injury-laden flameout in Philadelphia.

But things didn’t work out in the borough either, leading to a buyout and a deal across the country with the Los Angeles Clippers in February 2025, a month before he listed the condo. Simmons became a free agent at the end of last season and hasn’t been in the league since.

But he could still secure a victory in the borough with a sale of his condo. The 5,300-square-foot unit features a home theater, a pool table, a video game center, a wet bar and a display case. Simmons also had space for a gym and an office, as well as a shoe closet and a walk-in dressing room in the primary suite.

The home also has a 300-square-foot terrace with views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.

After it was originally listed with M. Monica Novo of Douglas Elliman, Carl Gambino and Marta Maletz of The Gambino Group at Compass have taken control of the marketing.

Simmons once had a home in Los Angeles’ Hidden Hills area, a newly built mansion which he purchased in 2021 for $17.5 million. He sold that property at auction for $12.1 million, before his career took him back to the City of Angels.

Despite some of the controversy at the 76-unit, sail-shaped tower near the riverfront, big deals have emerged at the project. Last month, a limited liability company purchased a full-floor penthouse at the building for $16.3 million, a record sale for Brooklyn year-to-date (though below both the initial and last ask).
