HMD announced the Aura² (Aura squared) without much fanfare. The device is a repurposed HMD Arc with a storage bump to 256GB, and it will be available in Australia from March 13 for AUD 169 ($106).

The Aura² features the same 6.52-inch IPS (HD+ 60Hz) LCD with 460 nits peak brightness. There’s a Unisoc SC9863A chipset at the helm paired with 4GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, which is expandable via the microSD card slot.

The back houses a single 13MP camera, while the waterdrop notch on the display features a 5MP selfie shooter. The software side is covered by Android 14 (Go edition). There’s a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button.
