Rüfüs Du Sol Announce North American Tour Dates

Rüfüs Du Sol prove “music is better/when we’re together,” with the addition of North and South American dates to their Inhale/Exhale global tour. Their trek across South America begins in Guadalajara, Mexico, on March 12, followed by Monterrey, Mexico; Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires; Rio de Janeiro; São Paulo; and Bogota, Colombia.

On April 23, the Australian alt-dance trio will arrive in Dallas, followed by performances in Atlanta, Miami, Nashville, and Detroit, with their final stop in Los Angeles on Aug. 16. Special guests along the tour include alt-indie group Glass Beams, indie-electronic duo Neil Frances, experimental dance act Overmono, and Peruvian DJ and vocalist Sofia Kourtesis.

“The energy and passion we get from our fans in North and South America is incredible,” the band said in a statement. “The US was the first place to really embrace us outside our home country, and in the past few years we’ve seen that love grow throughout Mexico and South America, it’s something we never imagined would happen!”

Made up of Tyrone Lindqvist on vocals, Jon George on keys, and James Hunt on drums, the trio released their fifth album Inhale/Exhale Oct. 11. Known for fusing organic, Earthy elements within the dance genre, Rüfüs Du Sol told Rolling Stone in April that their latest album would be more “playful, free, less constricted,” a sentiment they hope to bring to international dance floors.

“We’ve spent the past seven years living out here among you and being part of the music loving community here; being able to play our music to crowds like this all over the Americas is something we’ll never take for granted,” the band continued. “See you soon.”

The “Innerbloom” artists previously announced tour dates in Australia, New Zealand, along with European stops in Barcelona, Berlin, Amsterdam, Rome, Paris, and London. Presale tickets begins Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. local time, with general sale beginning Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. local time.
