While its Chinese competitors are busy issuing stable Android 15 updates left and right, Samsung is lagging behind – badly. The Korean company hasn’t even sent out the first beta of One UI 7 based on Android 15 to any of its devices, in a sharp turn backwards compared to its insanely fast update cadence over the past few years.
This has been rumored to have occurred because the company is busy making changes that will enable One UI 7 to be the best One UI ever, but still. Anyway, if you’re impatiently waiting for the first beta, today a purported release timeline for One UI 7 has been leaked.
OneUI 7 beta for S24 series will start in December (first week)
S23 series is still atleast 2~3 weeks away
S22 series idk if it’ll even get beta this year or not
S21 series definitely won’t get any beta

So, during the first week of December we’ll allegedly get the first beta for the Galaxy S24 series, followed by the one for the S23 family around 2-3 weeks after that. It’s apparently unclear if the Galaxy S22 devices will get the beta this year or not, while the S21 family definitely isn’t going to be part of the beta program.
The beta program itself will run for around two months, with the final stable release expected to go out in February, so after the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, right in line with Samsung’s own admission that One UI 7 will launch on the S25 family and won’t be on any other device before it arrives.
