Creating a classroom‑appropriate outfit that’s comfortable, stylish, and affordable isn’t always easy. But we love seeing teachers do it every day when they share their Outfit of the Day (OOTD) posts.
This is why we launched the $99 Amazon Challenge, a We Are Teachers series where we challenge teachers to create a look or give their classroom a mini makeover for $99 or less on Amazon.
For this edition, we teamed up with Megan Cook, a 4th grade teacher who regularly shares Outfit of the Day inspiration on Instagram at Fab and Fit in Fourth. Creating cute, comfortable looks for school is one of her strengths, so we couldn’t wait to see what she’d do with the challenge.
“I love putting together cute and comfortable outfits for the classroom! It also helps when they are affordable,” Megan shared. “Fashion doesn’t have to break the bank, and this challenge is proof of that.”
How Megan Took On the $99 Challenge
Rather than building a look around one specific trend, Megan focused on pieces that feel approachable, comfortable, and easy to restyle. She looked for the kinds of items teachers can use again and again.
Her favorite piece? The track pants.
“They are so comfortable and can be styled in so many different ways,” she said. “Dress them up, or dress them down for a more casual look. Either way, you’ll look cute and put together.”

Why We Love Seeing These Challenges
What we love most about the $99 Amazon Challenge is seeing how teachers interpret it. There’s no single right answer. Each teacher brings their own style, priorities, and creativity to the table, and that’s what makes the series fun.
We’ll continue putting new spins on the challenge. Sometimes they’ll be fashion‑focused and sometimes centered more on classroom ideas. But it will always come back to the same question: What can teachers create with $99 or less?
