Adirondack Architectural Heritage Launches Salvage Warehouse

Adirondack Architectural Heritage (AARCH) has announced the upcoming launch of their new architectural salvage warehouse, Adirondack Architectural Salvage, located in the former Pray’s Family Farm Market in Keeseville, NY (397 State Route 9N).
The warehouse will accept donations of quality building materials, from windows and bathtubs todoorknobs and light fixtures.
In addition to supporting the appreciation, care, and continued use of historic buildings, the warehouse plans to provide affordable items for North Country residents and keep building materials out of the region’s landfills.
The warehouse will serve as a store and training center for hands-on trades classes and other creative opportunities, according to an announcement sent to the press.
AARCH completed a project feasibility study in 2025 with grant support from the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Peter H. Brink Leadership Fund and the Cloudsplitter Foundation.
With the feasibility study complete, AARCH sought funds to launch this new project and has since received over $160,000 in grant support from a mix of government and private funders, including the NYS Environmental Protection Fund’s Adirondack Park Community Smart Growth Program and the NYS Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR3) Community Reuse program. Adirondack Architectural Salvage is also made possible through the support of Adirondack Farms LLC.
This project will be managed by Christine Bush, who will transition from her role as Preservation Services Director to Salvage Warehouse Director. She is currently seeking volunteers to help at the warehouse as well as donations of building materials in good, reusable condition.
