Path of Liberty: An Immersive Public Art Installation

“Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US,” an immersive public art installation coming to Freedom Plaza in Manhattan this spring, features larger-than-life photography and videos of participants from across the country.
The experience explores America’s founding pillars of liberty and equality through the lens of individual lived experiences.
Made possible by the Soloviev Foundation, designed by multi-specialty creative studio C&G Partners, and directed by filmmaker Daniella Vale, the installation will encompass more than six-acres on Manhattan’s East Side from 38th to 41st Street on First Avenue.
Visitors to the installation, embark on a journey through 250 years of the nation’s history, exploring its progress, challenges, and triumphs through 45 larger-than-life screens that showcase immersive photographs and audio stories, thought-provoking documentaries, and interactive elements.
Vale traveled across the country to capture portraits and interviews showcasing the personal experiences and reflections on life in America. Among the those who have shared their stories are a World War Two veteran, a retired New York Fire Department Lieutenant, artists, activists, small farmers, educators, National Park rangers, union transit workers, chefs, and more.
Each offers a unique perspective on their journey and the power of individual stories to connect the universal paths we all share.
