A new episode of the ADK Talks podcast explores St. Lawrence University’s Adirondack Semester — an immersive, place-based academic program set in the Adirondack Park.
Each fall, a small group of students lives off-grid in a yurt village near Massawepie Lake, without phones or Wi-Fi, studying natural history, land use, and Adirondack communities through direct experience.
The program blends environmental studies, outdoor skills, and community living, offering a distinctive model of experiential education rooted in the Adirondacks.
