2026 State of Lake Champlain Fisheries Presentation2026 State of Lake Champlain Fisheries PresentationThe annual Lake Champlain Fish and Wildlife Management Cooperative State of the Lake meeting was held in March in Burlington, Vermont. The meeting offered an opportunity for the public to learn about the ongoing research and angling opportunities that exist on Lake Champlain and is now available online.

Biologists from the DEC, Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service presented current research and answered questions on the topics discussed, including management actions for lake trout and landlocked Atlantic Salmon, sea lamprey control, angler experiences with forward facing sonar, and more.
